How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ?
What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Most of the time i'm either raiding or grouping - but sometimes i'm running around farming for tradeskills. I am a 300 fletcher and over 200 in all other tradeskills and i'm working on my new PoR trophies.
What was the race and class of your very first character? The Half elf ranger I still play to this day.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I originally got into gaming way back in 1992 or 1993 when my older brother bought a copy of Wing Commander 2. I played it as well and fell in love with that series and now have a copy of all games from that series. Space flight combat simulation is still definantly my favorite genre and I was heavily involved in the modding community for FreeSpace 2 (Sim of the year 1999) until I tried out EQ and became immersed in the world of Norrath. For non-computer gaming I also was into AD&D 2nd edition, yet again my brother introduced me, and I was very good at it. So good at getting into my characters persona that sometimes people who didn't know me well would not realize I was playing my character: which was really bad because I had a penchant for playing very snippy elf rangers..
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? I do some pretty heavy coding for FreeSpace 2 on and off - i wrote the most popular program for converting 3D art program files into the game's model files and I did some extensive work on the engine itself after it was open sourced. I also enjoy rock climbing when I can get a chance to go on a trip, but even the best cliffs in Iowa are not that impressive. I used to play right midfield in soccer during highschool and I dearly miss playing it.
What is your highest level in EQ? As of writing this: 70 ranger with 582 AAs.
What race and class is your main character? Half Elf Ranger.
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? Rangers can fill so many rolls that I never grow tired of playing him - except when I cannot get a group for hours and hours.
Does your main character worship a deity? Deniidil respects the power of Storms wielded by Karana.

What is your favorite expansion? I would have to say Depths of Darkhollow because of the excellent missions with good rewards.
What is your favorite zone? This is a tough question. I have several favorites in a couple of categories. My favorite zone for nostalgia is Qeynos Hills because my first week in the game I didn't know about PoK, I was afraid of the Karanas and I went to Qeynos just for selling to merchants. I soloed levels 1 to 10 in Qeynos Hills and occasionally received gifts from a passing high level ranger (100 plat here, a necklace there, help killing a guy for a quest sword). My favorite zone for looks is either the top of The Ascent where you fight the dragons or the new Desert of Ro zones. My favorite zone to raid has to be Tacvi, especially the Mordi Delt encounter.
What is your favorite npc? I would have to say Mayong because he just looks awesome.
Which expansion do you like the least? Luclin.

What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I spent 200K on an unevolved Blade of the Eclipse just before the top rank got changed to be attunable, I didn't want an attunable item so I turned around and sold it for a sizeable profit after evolving it only 31% of it's first rank.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Orcslayer, Longbow of the Faydark Defenders - the bow from the Faydark war. Up until just two weeks ago it was the bow I used, right until I got Plaguebreeze. It now sits in my bank as a war trophy.
What do you like best about EverQuest? What I like best about everquest is also what I like the least about everquest: It's a social game.
What do you get out of playing EverQuest? I've always enjoyed roleplaying games, but I could never get into a really stable AD&D group - so while this isn't in person, I can get a stable long term role playing expirience out of the game.
Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? My favorite experience playing EQ was doing beta testing for Prophecy of Ro because just the hilarious things that happen there. Like Jyve running around as Hanvar in plane of knowledge, or me getting turned into a chest (like the ones that drop off raid mobs) and sliding around PoK.
Do you run or work for an EverQuest Fan Site?(if so provide the web address too!) I am working on making one, but I don't want to talk about it until I have it up and running. .
