Where in the real life world do you live? Canterbury, England (United Kingdom)

How long have you played EQ?? Uuhh... about 5 years? I lose track.

What other MMOs have you played? Seriously, none. But I've delved into EQ2 and WoW just to steal their ide... I mean... to see what they're like.

What type of work do you do? Gainfully unemployed.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? Varies. I raid on US time, so it depends how long I can stay awake. But typically I guess about 4 hours.

What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? A little pilfering here, a little plundering there. Most days have some apocalytpic struggles against various fiends and foes.

What was the race and class of your very first character? Half elf druid called Decius Silverdawn.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? A housemate at university introduced me into Everquest. Before that I wasn't really a serious gamer. My favourite games are all computer RPGs. Sadly, there aren't that many truly high quality RPGs made. I remember wondering what all the fuss was about with Eye of the Beholder. But Baldur's Gate really broke the trend, and Morrowind still stands out in my mind as a classic.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? There's nothing else that I regularly dedicate time to but I dabble in everything from films to fencing.

What is your highest level in EQ? 70

What race and class is your main character? Vah shir rogue.

What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? Those moments when you do something that no one else can. Sneaking deep into a dungeon to steal a key, picking the pocket of a monster et al.

Does your main character worship a deity? Agnostic (as are all Vah Shir).

How did you choose your main character's name? I like to choose names that are in some way connected to my real life, so Shackleton was an obvious choice, especially since it sounds like a cats name and real-life Shackletons tend to have lots of Amazing Adventures.

Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? Have dabbled with every class, but I've only properly played a druid and a rogue. Firiona Vie has a restriction of one character per account, so FVers don't tend to have a lot of alts.

What is your favorite expansion? Velious. Or maybe Dragons of Norrath. Maybe. But probably Velious.

What is your favorite zone? For raiding, SSRA Temple. Never have lore and raids meshed so well. For grouping, I have a particular fondness for SolB just because I met so many friendly people there.

What is your favorite npc? Kerafym the Sleeper. He's just so legendary :)

Which expansion do you like the least? Technically, Legends of Ykesha. It wasn't a useful expansion for me and I got very little mileage out of it. But had I been lower level, I think it might have been more interesting.

Which zone do you like the least? Plane of Water (Planes of Power). I hate getting my fur wet.

Which npc do you like the least? That maid in Highhold Keep. She never would be quiet. Until she was silenced muahahaha!

What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? About 80k for a rogue wearable plate graphic breastplate.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Not sure if it qualifies... but when I wear plate I look like a battle hardened General, and when I wear chain I look like I'm wearing fishnet stockings... So I keep a set of plate graphics armour for use in public places :)

What do you like best about EverQuest? The stories that develop, both within the actual game lore and outside it, and the way those stories often tie together in peculiar ways.

What do you get out of playing EverQuest? Well, aside from the entertainment, the mechanisms involved I find genuinely intriguing.
