Where in the real life world do you live? The city of Leiden in The Netherlands (Approx. 40km south of Amsterdam)

How long have you played EQ? Since May 2003

What other MMOs have you played? EQ2

What type of work do you do? Mathematical Modeling, currently following courses to become a math teacher.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? Long, sometimes to long.

What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Usualy I spent a lot of time vendor diving, aka trashcan raiding, standing knee deep in partialy eaten meals, ukuun guts and fungus clumps looking for stuff I can sell for more in the bazaar or that I can use in my tradeskill addiction. During the evening I usualy group with guildies doing all kind of stuff. Wednesday and Sunday evening our guild raids.

What was the race and class of your very first character? High Elf Wizard

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I used to play a lot of adventure games and simulation games. Old classics like Monkey Island and Civilization. As a former AD&D player/dungeon master I also played games like Eye of the Beholder. Nowerdays most time is taken up by playing Everquest.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? I practise Aikido, which I have been doing for about 15 years. I like to read and have a special interest in French Literature.

What is your highest level in EQ? 70

What race and class is your main character? High Elf Wizard, my very first character.

What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? Already in AD&D I had a fasination for wizards. The idea of doing pure damage at the flick of a wrist is exciting. Maybe it is just the boy's wish to blow stuff up.

Does your main character worship a deity? No, the only things she worships are her own critical blasts and the cash in the bank.

Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? I play all classes, although I struggle at playing a bard cause my fingers aren't very agile.

What is your favorite expansion? Velious with the three factions and all the tiny stories there are to find.

What is your favorite zone? Kael Drakkel and I especially like the Arena background music.

What is your favorite npc? That has to be the guard in PoV with the obscene name: Fycking Baer

Which expansion do you like the least? LDoN was very good when it came out but at the moment it is my least liked expansion cause there is hardly any reason to go there anymore. Rewards like loot and xp are nowerdays very poor compared to the newer expansions. It didn't grow along with the rest of the game.

Which zone do you like the least? Paladual Caverns

Which npc do you like the least? Hmm, I have 3 on top of my hate list. Kizdean Gix for killing me to many times. Saxarivza Zaxun for killing me after taking the boat from Butcherblock to Freeport for the first time to only discover I was still bound at the zoneline of Crushbone.... Those 2 get a complementary nuke nowerdays just as pure revenge. The third isnt a npc although in my mind it has grown to NPC status: the tree of doom in pok that used to catch people. I still avoid it with a big circle.

What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? 120k for a piece of harmonagate.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I still have my Blessed Prayer Shawl of the Coldain in the bank. I just cannot part with the hard work that went into that and the thrill of doing the Shawl walk is still one of the most exciting events I have done.

What do you like best about EverQuest? Everquest offers a whole package in an enviroment that has had time to grow into what it is. You can play in a world which offers different things to do for differend moods. Small goals to complete in short time and big goals to complete together with fellow players over a longer time. You can progress your character in a way you want. If you like raiding you can, if you like making stuff you can do tradeskills, if you like to be social you can chat with friends.

What do you get out of playing EverQuest? I enjoy playing.

Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? Best experiences I have had are almost all in the joy of sharing the good things in life. Marriages, the birth of sons and daughters, the funny stories of the things that happen in real life. Everquest would be a hollow place without those things.
