How long have you played EQ? Created GBH on September 15th, 2003 after buying a copy of the Ruins of Kunark & The Scars of Velious at a local budget Warehouse store in April '03 (the only time ah've seen the game ever instore, apart from Shadows of Luclin in a bargain bin at another department store just before the game was due to be deleted)
What other MMOs have you played? SuperDudes. Joined in Dec '02 (even though newspaper reports claim it was started in January '03), in the beginning it was billed as a place where you can let your inner superhero-identity out, later you could group up with other SuperDudes to combat the agents of Decay, but when they introduced the Mobius Arena (initally a training ground to hone your combat skills in preparation for the invasion of Decay and it's agents) it turned from a cooperative game into a PvP/No Holds Barred brawl, and as a loyal Trailblazer, was not to mah liking (but ah was part of the Beta so ah know of what ah speak)
What type of work do you do? Unemployed
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? 8+ hours, but usually goes longer because someone comes along in need of help and ah stick around until they have completed what they needed help with (even if it means a further 2 hours :))
What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Hunting/doing quests in zone/s surrounding home city
What was the race and class of your very first character? Ogre Warrior (Go Crakneks!!!)
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? Dungeons & Dragons (basic edition in the 80's), Role Playing games
What is your highest level in EQ? GBH & V`Lak on 15. Reason being because ah have so many characters and initially not having a main mah first goal was to get each one to lvl 10 (except for Skokijan who has been camped in Abysmal Sea since lvl 9 because the lag on the boat was impossible at that time), second goal is to get everyone to 15 (Kolie got to 13 in the revamped Gloomingdeep Mines when the UI got changed and haven't gotten around to fixing things yet :P), final goal will be then to get everyone to 20, after that it's playing which ever character ah feel like playing at the time if there isn't one that someone has need of
What race and class is your main character? Teir`Dal Shadow Knight
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? Evil melee with spells :D (only drawback is she doesn't get Dual Wield :()
Does your main character worship a deity? Innoruuk
How did you choose your main character's name? Started out as an expletive, messed around with it a bit and V`Lak N`Ron (and family) was born :P
Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? Does not apply (have 20 characters covering every race/class, the newest being a set of twin frog Shadow Knights, but will be deleting the female as she was created by accident but the random name came up with a cool name for her:- Rikagoku :D)
What is your favorite expansion? Unsure, can't remember what each expansion introduced
What is your favorite zone? All zones ah've been in have good memories. Back when the water zoneline to Qeynos Catacombs near the Bank sent you to The Feerrott ah took Ingwie on a little exploration trip through Feerrott/Innothule Swamp/South Ro/The Oasis, took a side trip to The Overthere (ah think that was the place), no map so quickly went back, headed to North Ro and another side trip on a skiff that lead to the island the Iceclad Sea boat docked at (that was one beautiful boat, and the trip was fantastic as well), visited the Gnome Pirates and purchased a Gnomeskin bracer (which he still wears), wandered around the snow islands for awhile (had first encounter with a GM there, what a shock that was, talking to thin-air :D) and then headed back to NRo, ran through the ECommons Tunnel on way back home, got as far as the Tollbooth in WCommons and went to have a chat with Kizdean which ended up in a quicker return trip than expected :D (luckily he was only lvl 7 at the time so didn't have to worry about a CR)
What is your favorite npc? Haven't encountered an NPC that has stood out so far
Which expansion do you like the least? Unsure, can't remember what each expansion introduced
Which zone do you like the least? Tough question, would have to be North Karana (ran Skokijan through there at night on his Epic Overland Run from Cabalis to Abysmal Sea, and ah have serious phobia about edges)
Which npc do you like the least? None that come to mind
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? Single purchase? Most likely A Crude Stein for about 9.5p (that extra CHA comes in handy at times)
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? Ah tend to keep everything (including mob body parts like halfling toes :P), but an item that ah used to actually use? Would have to be the starter Weapon*
What do you like best about EverQuest? The community, both in game and on the forums
What do you get out of playing EverQuest? An enjoyable time Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? Every time ah'm able to help someone who knows less about the game than ah do (and that's saying a lot :D). When Beoani was a baby monk in Freeport a kind Druid offered to help with some of her NAW Quests and took her on a fun trip to West Karanas (first experience with a Giant was when one stepped on her as soon as she appeared at the Druid Ring :D), druid took her back and turned her into a wolf and cast some levitate spell and we went running through the sky after a griffin (damn budgie killed Beo in short order :()
