What other MMOs have you played? Underlight was my first experience with online gaming.
What type of work do you do? I'm a manager at a steak house in Copenhagen.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? between 2 and 12 hours
What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Well my playstyle has changed a lot , now a days I mostly log in to raid, and then spend an hour or so getting some quests and xp done after that.
What was the race and class of your very first character? Barbarian shaman
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? Well ever since I got a commodore 64 for my 14th birthday, I've been hooked on gaming. Roleplaying games are definitly my favorite genre. Since Bard's Tale back in 1986 and now Everquest 20 years later!
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? Well besides my work and Everquest, the short amount of time in between is being spend with friends and I swing by the local gym from time to time too.
What is your highest level in EQ? 70 going 75! :P
What race and class is your main character? Darkelf Necromancer
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? The fact that I'm not depended on others to get things done is the main reason. And prolly also the reason why I've stuck with Jartaxel for 7 years and not had an alt worth mentioning in all that time.
Does your main character worship a deity? Inny!
How did you choose your main character's name? Well, I'm a big fan of the author R.A. Salvatore. The name Jartaxel is a tribute to a character of his, in the Dark Elf Trilogy series.
Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? Well I've tried them all, but never played any of them past level 20, most even lower.
What is your favorite expansion? Planes of Power , the emotional rollercoaster it took to finish that expansion made it the most memorable experience in EQ for me.
What is your favorite zone? The Nest, I basicly live there, when I xp.
What is your favorite npc? Mayong Mistmoore, took him 6 years to finally show up! And what a fight!
Which expansion do you like the least? That would be Legacy of Ykesha. I still haven't figured out what that one was about.
Which zone do you like the least? Planes of Knowledge, it trivialized traveling, and ruined the feel of Everquest being a huge incredible world.
Which npc do you like the least? Queen Sendaii , most hated mob ever.
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? My giant black drum, for my selo speed drogmor. I cant recall the exact price but it was more than 100k pp
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? My Epic 1.0. I'm never going to delete that one. Had some very good friends spend their time and effort helping me out with that one (Refugees of Zek)
What do you like best about EverQuest? It never ends
What do you get out of playing EverQuest? Helps me unwind from work, and I meet some really great players and friends from all over the world.
Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? There are 3 different ones. I can't say one is better than the other since they are infact different from each other.
- That feeling of being a part of something amazing. The very first time back in 1999 when I took my newbie level 5 Barbarian on the adventure of his life, traveling by foot from Halas to Freeport. Took me 5 hours of trills, shivers, and multiple corpse runs. And finally getting there was like reaching something divine! I can still remember every minute of it. What a ride!
- When I finally reached level 50. Back then leveling was NO picnic!
- Finally getting my Time key and entering thru the sun dial for the first time. The lump I got in my throat was huge.
