Real life first name: Debbie Main Character name: Keirra Scratchenclaw Server: Saryrn Guild: Protectors of Harmony Where in the real life world do you live? I live in the U.K., but I'm originally from Alberta Canada. How long have you played EQ? 6+ years. What other MMOs have you played? Dark Age of Camelot, EQ2. What type of work do you do? I've been in the Market Research industry for the last 11 years on and off. How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? When I first started back in 2000, I played till the wee hours of the morning, but now, a typical session is anywhere from 1 hour to about 8 hours or so. What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Usually, I either solo with my Beastlord / Druid, partner up with my husbands Mage / Druid, or I group with guildies / friends. What was the race and class of your very first character? A male Barbarian Warrior named Jordain. What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? My ex first introduced me to EQ, and then he introduced me to DAoC. I really like MMO's. I've met so many people from in game and even met many of them IRL. What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest? I enjoy doing Indian Beadcraft, creating DVD movies with still pictures and videos we've taken, and playing my console games. What is your highest level in EQ? Level 71. What race and class is your main character? My Druid used to be my main, but I enjoy playing my beastlord allot more. Vah Shir Beastlord. What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? I like the fact that I can solo if I want to, and I wanted to get into the fighting action when in groups, but only as extra DPS….let the tank take the hits lol. Does your main character worship a deity? Nope, she's Agnostic. How did you choose your main character's name? I watched Star Trek DS9 allot, and I liked the name of one of the commanding officers on the station. I just had to tweak the spelling of it. Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? I haven't tried an Enchanter, or a Necromancer yet. What is your favorite expansion? LDoN. I like the fact that you can have a dungeon zone full of mobs all to yourself and your group. What is your favorite zone? Everfrost. That is the zone I first went out in, and it terrified me back then, so it holds a certain nostalgic meaning to me. (lvl 1 newbie + ice giant pulled to Halas ramp = almost dirty underwear) LOL. What is your favorite npc? Believe it or not, I think Broon in East Karana. Why? Because I lived in that zone camping him with all my chars, and still do whenever I create a new char. Which expansion do you like the least? Planes of Power. Remember those long travel times across West Karana? Also, I think it changed the dynamics of the game as a whole. Which zone do you like the least? I think probably Grimling forest. I like the zone with regards to looks, easy access for a druid, etc…, but I don't like it because I camped there for an ETERNITY just to get my Beastlord her Spirit of Flame spell…..still brings back nightmarish memories lol. Which npc do you like the least? I have 3 actually. Derakor the Vindicator, Kizdean Gix , and Martar Icebear. I go back and kill them whenever I pass through their zones just for kicks and giggles. What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I'm not really a big spender, even in RL, but I would have to say probably about 50k-ish. Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? My very first friend in EQ, when I was just a wee barbarian in Everfrost, gave me a Karana's Tear. At that time, I thought he was uber /waves hello to Karguren. What do you like best about EverQuest? The fact that you're able to chat with so many people around the world, while banding together killing mobs. What do you get out of playing EverQuest? Just being able to log on together with my husband, kill stuff, and just wind down in the evenings. The weekends are the same. We log on, and just kill stuff together . It's allot of fun. Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? My best experience from playing EverQuest would have to be meeting an adorable Halfling Druid in game, who is my now RL husband. Do you run or work for an EverQuest Fan Site? Nope.
