Ever hear something in EQ that you know in your head is patently 100% not true, but people keep persisting with it? I'm bringing this up because of a story someone was relating in Firiona general the other night about the Rallos Zek Sleeper "kill" - they claimed that the guilds that killed him used actual tactics to defeat him other than a massive rez and zerg rush, and that it was "three Anguish guilds." Now, this is absolutely not true, because: (1) The Sleeper "kill" happened on November 17, 2003. Omens of War was released on September 14, 2004. I don't know the purpose of the Anguish claim, whether it was to make it look like berserkers had some sort of impact, to make the guilds involved look more powerful or what. But I know there was some hacking on RZ, but hacking into content that hadn't even been coded yet? Darn, that takes skill. (2) Gates wasn't even out at the time, so a Time Level guild would be a top tier guild on any server at that point, a well geared player would be wearing full elemental armor, there's no way you can even hope to absorb Kerafyrm melee in that kind of gear. As we get further and further from the date that it happened, the stories get more and more ludicrous, from "people that were there, zomg!" Anyone else have anything to share/debunk about something that you know is 100% not true, but people still believe? MotP and Spell casting Expertise – Discussion started by Community Member Sonof
I have bought all 9 ranks of Mastery of the past as my Paladin, and was looking at doing the same with my wizard (I'm running out of other stuff). When I looked at them I noticed that to buy MotP 1 you need Spell Casting Expertise 3. Now Paladins don't have this requirement, and I'm pretty sure Clerics/Several others don't either. Now I may be wrong but this seems a bit harsh on int casters that need to buy SCE to rank 3 before they can even start on MotP. I may have missed this being discuss, and if there's a thread on it sorry. Would it be possible to remove the requirement for spell casting expertise for wizards (and anyone else with it) to make the AA fairer to all? Or if you don't want to do that then balance things out somehow What is the best class to "See the world"? – Discussion started by Community Member vontego
I searched and couldn't find an answer to my question, so I'm asking. What I most enjoy is to explore this virtual world. To see the various areas and creatures of the world and poke my nose into the corners to see what's there. I'm typically doing this by myself because I haven't found others who have the same interest. Because of this I need a class that is self sufficient, with a reasonable survival rate. I have found that the necro is very good at survival, but it's also hated by the rest of the world, so I find I can't really go everywhere I would like too. Does anyone have an idea about what class might work for me? Charms and Augments, when should I start? – Discussion started by Community Member JoeR
I have the tutorial charm and no augments. I am level 10. When should I work on replacing the charm and when should I get augments? Level 15-25 Money and Items – Discussion started by Community Member stefanodesbois
I have just started playing again for the first time since Kunark came out. I have just started a bard and she is desperately short of money and gear so I was wondering if anyone could tell me of the best money/item quests for mid teens and the 20s and also the best mobs to loot from in order to gain plate armour and/or some decent plat. I would rather hunt the old world zones. I am level 11 at the moment and am having a ball taking wisps in Qeynos hills. But I need suggestions for when wisps are too low for me to bother with and for a few levels beyond. Any help would be great.
