Meet Sethanu Server: The Rathe Guild: Unguilded |
Where in the real life world do you live?
Chicago, Illinois How long have you played EQ?
About 2 years. What other MMOs have you played?
None really, unless you count those cheap free online games. What type of work do you do?
I'm a student, but I ride horses in shows and walk dogs. How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ?
It depends, sometimes on the weekends I play for 3-8 hours a day. I really don't play a lot during weekdays 'cause I'm at school. That does a typical EQ day consist of for you?
Well, that's hard to say. My ex-main used to check with her guild and stuff. I guess, well, since Sethanu is only a level 7 she's stuck in the tutorial for a while. It's actually pretty funny though because I spend most of the time chatting on the OOC channel. I help really new newbs, like first time ever playing EQ peeps. I tell them how to do things easily, for example, in the very first tutorial, where your in the jail alone with Arias and the slaver, that if you're mainly a spell-caster that you can get your spell skills and meditating skills up as high as they can go for your level. I'm planning on creating a guild though, so I'm brainstorming on the OOC channel for a name with people. What was the race and class of your very first character?
My very first character was a High Elf Magician. She had wicked awesome spells! But I wanted to try a Vah Shir Beasty so I dumped her into the once every two month played list. What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?
I love fantasy games. Like if you combined WoW (World of Warcraft) and EQ together, it would be the ultimately awesomest game ever!!!!!!!!!! My dad was always a big computer guy so I guess I got into it, too. What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest?
I LOVE horses. They are practically 30% of my life. Thats a lot of space, compared to what I like to do. Then there's dogs. I guess I'm really into animals. I also like to spend time with my family and, of course, playing EQ! I also go to school and stuff. I like to ski and snowboard. I love to travel. Yup, I'm a really unique person. What is your highest level in EQ?
Sadly, My highest level in EQ is 13, but I focus on tradeskills and race specific honor-your-fathers-and-kill-that-person-or-build-this-object quests so I don't get a lot of attack experience in. I'm working on it though. My Vah Shir Beastlord is a level 12 and she runs a guild so "HAH!" to all the people out there who say a minor level character can't run a guild. What race and class is your main character?
My main character is a Froglok Shadow Knight. She's not really evil. Until she kills you when you're not looking. What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character?
I love the spells and the armor. It's like a paladin that actually has damage spells. She also has the harm touch action, and it works on high level characters. It's an awesome class that's not spell-less but not all "robes and daggers only". Does your main character worship a deity?
She worships Innoruuk (did I spell that right?). But like I said, she's not really evil until she kills you. How did you choose your main character's name?
I made it up in honor of my ex-main Sebanu. Sethanu, Sebanu. I replaced the "b" with a "th". Yup. That's it. No famous war name. No "Oh, that was my dead father's uncle's middle name" glory. Just plain and simple. Which classes in EQ have you NOT played?
I have played all of them, but especially love the Beastlords, Shamans, Rangers, and Shadow Knights. What is your favorite expansion?
Probably The Shadows of Luclin. I think that because it gave EQ Vah Shirs and Luclin that it ROCKS!!!!! What is your favorite zone?
I like PoK (The Plane of Knowledge) because you can't die and every single thing that can possibly be sold is there. Plus, they have all of the items needed for the tradeskills. Well, maybe not ALL of the items, but you get what I mean. I love the architecture and color of the buildings. Also, the grass is really, really green where there is grass. It's like the old saying twisted around, "The grass is greener on the other side of the portal." What is your favorite NPC?
I think that I really like the main Guildmaster for Beastlords in Shar Vahl. I think he's called Elder Animist Sadhi or something like that. He's pretty cool. Which expansion do you like the least?
I really like all of the expansions except for the Prophecy of Ro. I don't think that it really did anything. But then again, that's my minor level character thought. Which zone do you like the least?
I really hate Hollowshade Moor. I always get killed when I go there and a lot of my ex-main's quests involved it. Another minor level character disadvantage. Which NPC do you like the least?
I hate those emissary guys in every major city zone. They're always like "We must repent! We displeased the gods!" I think that they are extremely annoying. My character went to one to ask a question and she's all like "REPENT!!!" and stuff. What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?
I spent 2000 platinum on dyes from the bazaar by accident. Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it?
I really use all of my items, except for my first sword. It's sort of a MUST KEEP item. What do you like best about EverQuest?
I love how you can chat to people around the world. But my favorite thing about EQ is that you can cast spells and usually don't need an object to cast them. Like in this weird online game called Runescape you need stones, or runes, to cast spells and you run out of them really fast. In EQ your character has unlimited mana, but needs to meditate to speed up its regeneration. What do you get out of playing EverQuest?
I learn more about medieval type weapons, like swords, and gain better people skills (I learn really good disses from EQ sometimes). I also feel like part of a community. Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest?
At school they told the class to write a 20 page fantasy story and I wrote about EQ. I got a good grade on it. Do you run or work for an EverQuest Fan Site?
Nope. Nada. Zero. I wish I could make an EQ website though.
