Most Fun Quest/Task – Discussion started by Community Member minimind
Aside from Epics/Raids, what's the most fun quest/task you've done and would suggest to others? Why? Did you complete the task/quest when level appropriate? In its original era? (Kunark quest before Velious came out) I was personally most amazed by the fun I had doing the quest for the Shield of Bane Warding as a level 75 zerk. Awesome looking shield, great twink stats, droppable, and the quest wasn't boring Hard Mode Server – Discussion started by Community Member Neebat
I wonder how many people would go for a server built strictly for bragging rights? 1. No experience from even con or lower mobs.
2. Raid encounters tuned up, double DPS, extra adds, more HP, etc.
3. Every level takes 3-5 times as much experience as it does on other servers.
4. Triple experience loss from dying and all rezzes scaled down so the best was 50%
5. Vendor prices multiplied by 10. Make that 20 for summoning stones.
If you made a progression server like that, then I'd bow down to the ones who unlock the expansions first. While you're at it, make a Casual Mode Server. 1. Set a target level, say, level 5 initially and bump it up 1 level now and then, depending on how many people reach the target.
2. For every level you are below the max, you get an experience bonus.
3. If you're over the target level, you can still camp drops, quest or tradeskill, but you can't gain experience or skillup.
If you made a progression server like that, then I'd play on it. Wood Elf Shaman in EQ? – Discussion started by Community Member Amonraa_RZ
I am just wondering if a wood elf shaman would fit into EQ1 since EQ2 apparently has wood elf shamans. LoN is going to release this card and wood elf shaman looks viable for EQ1? I think someone was calling it a mystic? Choose hard or normal – Discussion started by Community Member Richard
23-36-54-72… A function that I liked a lot that has been gone, is the DoD option to "choose hard or normal" and get different instances with different rewards. I would love to see that in some raids as well whereby the different levels were geared towards #'s instead of actual difficulty. In another's words, it would require the same level of geared players but in different numbers and yield a proportionate number of loots.. Obviously some raids would be complicated to do this with depending on the script but I think most people would like this idea. It would also, I think, make open raids more popular; especially for the less complicated scripts. Weapons – Discussion started by Community Member Gnomereaper
1. Weapons on the group end are not scaling as well as spells do in newer content, often times their dps is lower than old raid content while the armor is superior to old raid content. A. The non existant weapon quests seem to be the only way to situate raid level weapons in group content, if anything following the EQ2's style of quest for the Peacock Club or Soulfire would work well. You have 3 tiers of weapons within the quest to gain, and to select. Hard group->Middle Level raider->End game raider. 2. 2-handed Blunt for casters A. These are non existent for the most part, the best thing is to add unique procs and effects. For meleers adding the highest DD procs to these works as a melee does for more dps and stat trade offs. B. Defining a dps use in AA, such as giving clerics 2hd Bash, increased proc damage when using a 2hnder, and other forms of AA archetype enhancement. 3. Consolidating weapon usages for priests, because 1hb has made 1 hpiercing and 1hslashing extinct for shamans and druids. If all can use 1hpiercing, 1hslashing, and 1hb then there is more flexibility in being graphically different each expansion. What are your thoughts on Weapons in the game?
