Don't look at me like that! Would it be possible to get a /exp off command added? Unlike other games where your level determines say, what loot drops, there's no real benefit to staying at a lower level... unless you and your friends want to play the game a certain way. So in the interest of helping us "progression guild" type people out, and also to promote ideas that benefit everyone not just those who are having trouble keeping members who play a whole lot within our level guidelines (did you know that when you have 30 banked AA's all xp goes to regular xp? Did you know it's possible to purchase every purchasable AA at level 60 and still have much of Luclin left to conquer?), how about some lower powered expendable AAs that can be bought at lower levels instead? That way our people who are hitting the AA cap and have to be sacrificed 96 times in the last week to stay within our guild's rules can instead use those 30 banked points for short term boosts and continue to play as much as they want while our raid team pushes on. How much plat do you have? – Discussion started by Community Member RangerDave
Here's a related question that I've always wondered about - what the heck do you spend that kind of plat on? Returning to EQ, my uncertain future – Discussion started by Community Member DOI-Saurun
So I spent Friday night and Saturday in EQ. I have been gone for three years, left with three level 65 raiders, cleric, necro, beastlord. My impression so far and I need some advice. First I've noticed getting into a group can be difficult, as is expected since I'm so far behind the curve. I've noticed everyone in the group at my level had multiple accounts and was working on alts. This was good because their alts were around to mega buff us up and assist if needed. Anyway my reason for this post is, I really like EQ. So much depth to the game and endless new/old areas for me to explore. The problem I have is this. First I can die to anything, making exploration difficult. Does this dying to anything improve at level 80 with lots of AA's, where I can kind of explore around on my own and see areas without fearing for my life? Not talking the very end game stuff, but maybe being able to explore the GoD zones without dying to yard trash at the beginning? Even in BoT I was unable to solo an entry level mob. Why must SOE have every MOB hit for enormous amounts of HPS? Basically it seems EQ lacks the ability to make intelligent mobs so it makes up for it by giving them insane HPS and DMG. Does this change later if I get to level 80 and a few hundred more AA with current level gear? Secondly, the main reason I came back. I read how advancing was far easier now. So I though yeah let's give it a try, maybe even level up that enchanter I've always dreamed about. Well my experience so far is horrible. Playing basically two days and gaining 1/4 of a level. Sorry but I'm out of college now, have a family and full time job. I would be lucky to play 12 hours a week. Sorry SOE but I'm not going to spend the next year get to level 80 with one character, and when I make it finally you raise the level to 85. Basically am I missing something? Do I need to buy the latest expansion to perhaps experience this fast leveling? If there is indeed fast leveling, IE a way for me to make a level a day from 65-80 playing about 8 hours in that day, then where and how? Is there a way for me to get caught up on loots, so I don't feel so extremely weak? EverQuest Trivia #335 – Game started by Community Member Torar_Bloodydagger.
