NPC Summoning - Discussion started by Community Member wizdons
For future content, probably won't work with anything current due to massive changes needed.

So we have people that don't like summoning and we have people that say it must stay so nec/wiz or something doesn't kill a tough named for phat loots solo.

OK, so 90% of all group named in EQ are PH and static PH spawns. Now some classes can now do these by mercing and some can not. They had to add summoning to named to keep people from kiting; which not only removes the possibility of some classes to kite solo but also removes kiting all together.

Now what I propose is instead of there being just 1 PH for a mob. Make it wear "X" named spawns on a little alter or something noticeable. But the named will not spawn unless all the mobs around him are all dead. Then if the mobs are dead the named will spawn but it won't always drop loot.

Autofollow: Mercs versus PCs - Discussion started by Community Member ratblaster1
For years, the /follow code has undergone little noticeable improvement. Player characters on /follow cannot navigate around sharp turns or any protrusion on objects (doorframes, furniture, rocks, trees, etc). They get stuck there until manually freed or until autofollow turns off due to out of range of lead character.

Now along come Mercs who have the amazing ability to follow their owner thru any twist or turn without getting lost or stuck on objects.

Any reason why PC's could not be updated to use the same autofollow code as mercs do?

Right now the cap is only 200k. The new heroic tributes they added cost 345 each and with the stuff I use my activate cost is over 900.

What would be even better would be if tribute lasted 30mins instead of just 10.
