I stopped playing a tad before SoD came out to move into my first home, do the marriage thing, all that. Since, I've played part time in other games, but limit myself to prevent boredom (and wife annoyance).
As always, I keep a thought in the back of my head for EQ.
The question is this - Playing three or four hours *per week*, by myself, for myself, starting at level 1 in the tutorial, is there a game to be played? I have no burning desire to make the high end, raid, or even break level 50. I just want to play a game I'm familiar with part time and have a bit of fun.
Is there fun to be had at the lower levels (both actual level and level of activity) in EQ? On that note, do the Mercs add a lifeless second person I can group with (I can talk to the ladyfriend, if I need company) or would I be solo with a vanity pet?

At level 10 I was told to go to POK and get the newbie armor quests. Are these worth doing or should I stick to Crescent Reach?
