Where in the real life world do you live? Hudson, Florida How long have you played EQ? 8 years What other MMOs have you played? None - From what I've heard of other games, nothing compares to my EQ. What type of work do you do? I coordinate groups for progression/quests, etc, research information on mobs and quests, I create/update the spreadsheets of our progression with each expansion, DKP manager, Website Manager…I don’t have a real job. How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ? 6-8 hours, sometimes more. What does a typical EQ day consist of for you? Form a group, ask who needs what, go get whatever is needed... Usually Progression, Aug Quests or Gear from SoD expansion. What was the race and class of your very first character? Human Warrior What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? My husband, Falanor (GL of Steel and Honor) got me into gaming. Mainly because I was getting upset at him for being on that "dang game" all the time, so his solution was to get me to play, too. We used to play AD&D at home with friends and family, so he figured I'd enjoy EQ. He was right. I killed my first bat and I was hooked. :) What is your highest level in EQ? 85 What race and class is your main character? Human Warrior What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character? She's a fighter and so am I. I like standing toe to toe with a mob and I will always protect those I care about...whether it is in game or RL. Call it a Mommy thing. Does your main character worship a deity? Rallos Zek How did you choose your main character's name? It was just a name I always liked. Which classes in EQ have you NOT played? Necro, Monk, Berserker What is your favorite expansion? SoD - Some of the high end raiding folk might say it's too easy, but for the family guild, this has been a joy. The content in this expansion has been fun and doable. What is your favorite zone? Right now it's FoS, mainly because I still enjoy looking at all those dragons on the field. My jaw dropped when I first saw them, they’re awesome to look at. What is your favorite NPC? Trakanon, on the Field of Scale. I saw a druid aggro him and watched the chase. The raw power and the look of that dragon impressed me. Which expansion do you like the least? GoD - It was way above our capabilities as a guild when it came out, so we never really got to experience that expansion. Which zone do you like the least? I still have a love/hate feeling for PoFear. Way back when it was a challenge, it was my worst nightmare. I cringed each time I had to request help for my Epic 1.0 piece. Which NPC do you like the least? Freeport Militia... I'm still on their Most Wanted List and always will be. When I was a new player the guards always KS'd my kill, so being the newbie I was, I got mad one day and shot the guard...lol what a train that was. I lost my faction with FM when I helped with a few paladin epic kills, but I never liked them anyway. What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I think it was last year, when Blackburrow was about to go back to low level status. I became frustrated because a shoulder item either didn't drop, or I'd lose the roll each time it did drop. So I spent 100k for it, figuring there was only one day left for the zone to change back and bazaar prices would shoot sky high...wouldn't you know it dropped the next day and nobody needed it. Everybody was saying "Gratz" to me and I had to confess to buying the thing the night before. lol Lesson learned. Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? My epic 1.0 because it was such a pain to get...hence the love/hate relationship with PoF. A flower -Lady’s Mantle was given to me by a ranger friend. He passed away in 2004 and I still have that flower. What do you like best about EverQuest? Quests that make you use your brain. If you don't have the perfect group, you need to think of alternative ways to get the job done. I enjoy the challenge. The camaraderie and memories we build from success and failure is the best reward. What do you get out of playing EverQuest? I get a sense of satisfaction whenever we win a tough battle, but there are lots of laughs and fun times in my memory book from the people I've fought and died with. It’s strange how the deaths bring back more fun memories than the success stories. I guess it's because each quest is a journey with failures at first. You learn from the mistakes and success follows. Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest? So many to choose from... One of my best experiences was when our guild killed Emperor Ssraeshza for the first time. When we zoned in to Ssra, there was a more powerful guild in zone attempting to kill him. They were recovering from a wipe and were giving it a second try. We waited patiently and they wiped again. They gave up and told us have at it...I was a little hesitant because they had failed and we had less people than they did. What a win that was!! Everyone was perfectly positioned and did their jobs just as planned. It was a flawless execution. We were smiling about it for a week. |
