How long have you played EQ?
10+ years. I had a friend who was lucky enough to be in beta, but wouldn't let me play because he was afraid he'd get in trouble. So I started my own account with my brother as soon as we could get logged in after launch.
What other MMOs have you played?
Most of them that have come along since EQ. I never really found any that could keep my interest for more than a week or so.
What type of work do you do?
I wander the earth looking for adventures.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQ?
A few hours or more, usually longer for raids.
What does a typical EQ day consist of for you?
Log on, check friends list and guild, say hi, the slay dragons.
What was the race and class of your very first character?
Human monk, to this day his body can still be found in the sewers of Qeynos. I didn't know how to swim and fell into the pond and drowned, however I zoned right as I was drowning and never found the body. I lost a full suit of mesh armor that day. A week later at the grand level of 9, a kind shaman told me to take my lantern out of my hand and see if I fought better. I lost another corpse in Blackburrow and rerolled a warrior, the class that I would stick with for nearly 9 years and two servers.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?
I played a lot of Starcraft and Diablo with the friend that got me into EQ and have stuck with it ever since. I don't play many games because I am generally bad at them. Even my girlfriend's Wii Fit tells me so.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EverQuest?
I have an insatiable appetite for knowledge, so I spend most of my off time reading various news sites and devouring facts.

What race and class is your main character?
Ogre, Berserker.
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character?
Well I like a challenge, and playing a berserker in the group game definitely was one. For the most part I relish the 3-5 minutes out of an hour where I can utterly destroy some poor unsuspecting monster.
Does your main character worship a deity?
Rallos Zek, he's definitely the coolest looking warlord around.
How did you choose your main character's name?
It was a sort of play on El Kabong.
Which classes in EQ have you NOT played?
I've played most into their 30s at least, with the exception of Rogue and Paladin.
What is your favorite expansion?
I like the old world the most, there is just a magic about it that can never be duplicated and I still do nostalgia runs.
What is your favorite zone?
Rivervale, I love the hamburgulars. I also enjoy killing Mayor McCheese (Gubbin) on my evil characters.
What is your favorite NPC?
Any that will make fun of me.
Which expansion do you like the least?
Gates, it just doesn't have anything that left me with fond memories.
Which zone do you like the least?
Plane of Fear, I still think about all of those horrible times trying to break in years ago when ever someone asks for help there.
Which NPC do you like the least?
Those brownies in Plane of Growth that have literally 1 million hp.
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?
I think it would have been a full suit of DoN cultural armor + augs + DoN vendor augs for my Warrior after liquidating my trader.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it?
I recently collected a full suit of rubicite for my twink ranger for aesthetic purposes. I remember seeing it during my early days of EQ and being floored by the look of it and a couple of other suits of armor. I would love to outfit a twink cleric in a suit of ethereal mist and if I could get a flaming sword that a ranger can equip I would make a copy of Aradune :)
What do you like best about EverQuest?
The community, the nostalgia, and the difficulty.
What do you get out of playing EverQuest?
A break from reality.
Describe your best experience from playing EverQuest?
There are just too many to name one. Any time I accomplish a personal goal is the best for me.
